How to take photographs of fighters

There are a few easy rules worth remembering if you’re going to take photos of fighters. They are as follows:

  1. Be as quick as you can. The longer they stand there, the more irritated they are likely to become. No point pissing someone off if you can help it.
  2. Avoid the ‘fight pose’ at all costs. Everyone knows they are a fighter, they don’t need to see them with their hands up in every single photo.
  3. Talk to them. Fighters are people too.
  4. Be polite. Don’t be over-familiar if you’ve only met a few times.
  5. Say thank you and how much you appreciate their time.
